There I told you to do it, so what are you waiting for? Chances are you already know what foods are good for you and which are not. Most people are aware that eating a salad is a better choice than eating an entire pizza. But, there is so much more to it! (Plus even though you know the salad is better, why the heck are you still choosing the pizza?) Well my friend, eating is much more then meets the eye and stomach. It is not as simple as choosing a food when we feel hungry, eating it & then moving on with our day. Unfortunately, our feelings and emotions get all mixed up with our eating/food choices! This results in a thing called ‘disordered eating.’

Do you find yourself standing at the fridge after having an argument with your partner or friend? Do you end up in a fast food drive-thru after a stressful day at work? When our primary foods and needs are not being met, we will often turn to eating to try to fill a void or make us happy.

News Flash: You will never become “full” by just eating alone.

You need love. You need support. You need encouragement. You need strength. You need happiness. You need relationships. You need people to turn to. You need freedom. You need spirituality. You need physical activity. You need love (yes, i am aware I mentioned it twice- its uber important).

SO, now that you know exactly what you need to eat healthy~

I know I was! When I began my nutrition + fitness journey,  I thought for sure the key  to eating healthy would be a bunch of healthy recipes,  tons of organic produce and maybe some fancy kitchen gadgets. Boy was I wrong. I have learned a lot in the past 10 years and have personally visited the many different stages of “healthy” and “fit.” I put quotations on those two things because being healthy and fit looks/feels differently to everyone. Each and every BODY is unique and amazing in its own special way and only  YOU will know when your body is truly “healthy” and “fit.”
